Your Media – the operating name for Community Access Television, Inc. – is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization founded in 1992. At that time, our main purpose was to be the service provider for public access television in Fayetteville. In January 2011, we launched our new name and broadened the scope of our service to the community so that we could better meet the needs of nonprofits and people in harnessing the power of media. Your Media remains the service provider for Fayetteville Public Access Television. Here are the people who make our work possible:
Your Media Staff

J.R. Curtis, M.A.– Director of Education

J.R. holds a Masters in Broadcasting and Cinematic Arts. J.R. brings ten years of television production experience, with eight years served in the public access field. J.R. is the former Education and Government Access Coordinator for Arlington Community Media, Inc. in Arlington, Massachusetts where, in addition to his production work, he taught television and video production courses.
Flint Woods– Technical Specialist

Flint has worked at Fayetteville Public Access Television for three years and brings his webmaster, techno-genius and video production/editing skills to all aspects of Your Media’s work.
Anne Shelley– Board Chair

Anne brings years of diversity/inclusion work and nonprofit directorship to her tenure at Your Media. Her organizational development skills and nonprofit experience give her a unique understanding of the needs that area nonprofits face in promoting their good work. Anne is the former Executive Director of Just Communities of Northwest Arkansas whose mission was to fight bias, bigotry and racism through education and advocacy. She still works as a contract trainer and Ourtown for Teens director for Just Communities of Arkansas out of Little Rock. She is currently the executive director of the Northwest Arkansas Rape Crisis Center.
Molly Jensen, Ph.D. – Treasurer

Molly is an Associate Clinical Professor and Assistant Department Chair in the Marketing Department of the Sam M. Walton College of Business at the University of Arkansas. Molly was instrumental in spearheading the CAT re-branding process which led to many exciting changes, including the new name, Your Media.
Carmen Coustaut, M.F.A, M.E.– Board Member

Carmen is an Associate Professor in at the Walter J. Lemke Department of Journalism at the University of Arkansas.She received her Master of Fine Arts in Cinema Production from the University of Southern California and a Master of Education from Harvard University. She is an award-winning independent filmmaker who specializes in the history of the image of African Americans in film. She came to the University of Arkansas in January 2005 when she served as its first Associate Vice Chancellor for Institutional Diversity and Education for a five-year appointment.
Todd Daniels – Board Member

Todd is a Category Manager for the Coca-Cola, Inc. Walmart/Sam’s Team. He served for nine years as a business executive for Walmart/Sam’s Club, most recently as Category Financial Planner in the Grocery Division at Sam’s. Todd was also Walmart Team Leader for the American Heart Association and is glad to bring his non-profit service and experience in marketing, financial planning and business to Your Media.
Bertha Gutierrez – Board Member

Bertha works for Credit Counseling of Arkansas and is a graduate of the Walter J. Lemke Department of Journalism at the University of Arkansas. Bertha, a local artist, writer and photographer, serves as a mentor for the Lemke Journalism Project, which gives high school students of diverse backgrounds an opportunity to write and produce their own newspaper with help from journalism faculty and mentors.
Peggy James – Board Member

Peggy James is an instructor of television production at Fayetteville Public High School. Peggy is an award-winning teacher who oversees Bulldog Television which is cablecast as the Fayetteville Education station on Cox Channel 217.
Dennis Kirkpatrick, M.A. – Board Member
Dennis is an Assistant Professor of Broadcast Journalism at the Walter J. Lemke Department of Journalism at the University of Arkansas. Dennis has over 20 years of experience in sports journalism including work for Fox Sports Network and CNN.
Jan McCormick, EdD. – Board Member

Jan is founder and president of JobLingo.com, a web-based software company addressing the very old problem of job readiness with the very newest technology. She is a teacher, mentor, job coach, and program developer focused on the balance of message and delivery style for offering maximum effectiveness.
Katherine Shurlds, M.A., J.D. – Advisor to the Board
Katherine is a professor at the Walter J. Lemke Department of Journalism at the University of Arkansas. She was a very active producer in the early days of Fayetteville access and then went on to become Manager of Fayetteville Open Channel (FOC.) She then left to attend and graduate from the University Of Arkansas School Of Law with a special interest in Communications and Freedom of Speech. Katherine is also the Director of the Lemke Journalism Project noted above.
